Somatic, Relational, & Experiential Psychotherapy for Holistic Healing

Welcome to My Practice

I’m Amy Potter, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in somatic and relational therapy. My approach to healing is grounded in the belief that the body, mind, and relationships are deeply interconnected. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them explore their emotional and physical experiences, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and foster meaningful relationships with themselves and others.

I provide a safe, compassionate space for you to discover new insights, heal old wounds, and transform through a process that nurtures both emotional and nervous system regulation.

My Approach

Somatic Therapy

Your body holds the key to your healing. Somatic therapy works by tuning into the body’s sensations, movements, and signals to release emotions and unprocessed trauma. Together, we will explore the stories your body carries, helping you reconnect with yourself in ways that foster resilience, self-compassion, and greater peace.

Relational Therapy

We are shaped by our relationships—both past and present. In relational therapy, we explore how your interactions and patterns influence your emotional life. Through our therapeutic relationship, we will uncover the ways you relate to others and yourself, helping you create more fulfilling and authentic connections.

Nervous System Regulation

A well-regulated nervous system is essential for emotional balance. Many of us live in states of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm, often without realizing it. I integrate nervous system regulation techniques into therapy, guiding you from fight, flight, or freeze responses to states of calm, safety, and connection. This helps you navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.

Trauma Integration

Trauma impacts both the mind and body. My trauma-informed approach creates a safe space for you to explore and heal from past wounds. Using somatic therapy and other body-based practices, I help you release trauma that may be stored in the body, allowing you to move forward with renewed strength and awareness.
